Originally sent out to OpenQuest 2 Preorders

Good morning glorious pre-order people!

First off, The Savage North has been corrected. The version I issued last month had a missing map. My thanks go to Marc Gilliam who pointed out this fairly major blunder on my part – and corrected a few minor typos that had slipped through.  The corrected pdf is available via, all you need do is redownload it. For those of you who received a printed copy, I sent you a corrected copy which was ordered last night.

PLEASE NOTE: If you bought a printed copy of The Savage North from before I took it off line to replace the map, please send me your  receipt to and I will send you a replacement free of charge.

Life and Death has been publicly released.Print copies were ordered for Demi-Gods last night, while free PDF copies via were sent out via email this morning. The book now has 17 extra pages, which is new ready made concepts, the Guild of Treasure Hunters and a short introductory adventure called the Dust of Eternity. The book is also 100% compatible with OpenQuest Basic Edition.

OpenQuest Basic Edition is now publicly available through as a FREE pdf and as a low cost softcover book. The fact that I could do this with confidence is firmly down to you lot so go give yourself a round of applause 🙂

Looking forward to the final bits of the pre-order

OpenQuest Website. OK I’m going to be decomissioning and putting a redirect on it to the OpenQuest web page on The main reason being its easier to maintain one website than two. However I fully intend to put the features I stated in the pre-order campaign there: the Online SRD and Dev-Kit. This probably the next bit I’ll deliver since all the bits are ready to go.

OpenQuest Adventures. With everything else out of the way, bar the web-site, I’m currently working on this. I’ve got cover and internal art commissioned and a fair chunk of the book written. That’s all I’m going to say for now, until I’ve had chance to refocus and firm up my plan for the book.

Next month is the two year anniversary of the pre-order opening. Despite being an rough ride at times, I’m very happy with what your support on the campaign has produced. Next update I hope will be wrapping up the remaining deliverables.

Once again thank you for your ongoing patience.
