The Book of Glorious Joy is the long awaited fan produced supplement about the Gloranthan West and Kingdom of Loskalm by Jamie “Trotsky” Revell.
Graced by a gorgeous painted cover by Jon Hodgson (HeroQuest, The One Ring RPG, numerous Wahammer Army books, Pazio, Art Director of Cubicle 7) and copiously illustrated inside by Peter Town (Mythic Russia, Sartar Companion, Sons of Kargazant, Wordplay: The Big Five), this book is crammed full of 170 pages of Gloranthan Gaming goodness, and contains enough information to run a deep and satisfying campaign in a part of Glorantha very different from the usual Dragon Pass settting. If you like Knights and Wizards blended with a good dose of Gloranthan weirdness, this book should be right up your street.
While written for HeroQuest, it is easily adaptable to the system of your choosing, due to HeroQuest’s empasis on description over numbers and stats.
Available now in both pdf ($15 ), softcover ($30 ), hardcover ($40 ) and pdf/print bundles.
The book is actually split into two bits:
Book 1: Heroes of Malkion – A general overview of the Men of the West, their religion, lifestyle and HeroQuest Keywords.
Book 2: Wizard Knights – A complete guide to the Kingdom of Loskalm, an idealistic freedom loving land, where everyone starts out a peasant and those who prove themselves heroic scale the social ladder to ultimately become Wizard-Knights!
